I have an issue with my designer. I could not find anyone else with this issue (especially since the search engine ignored the word CASE).
There is an existing dataflow with a CASE transform and two output branches - unknown and default. I set up the transform to send all records to default and only the ones matching the case logic to unknown. Everything seems to work fine until I try to open the CASE transform. The default checkbox unchecks itself and will not persist once I close it. If I go to the layout, the line that used to be the default branch is now gone and the only option I have when I try to put it back is unknown. I can go in and recheck the default box, even rename the default to something else, all to no avail. This happens with any CASE transform I try to open. I can create a new CASE transform and get the default branch but it always goes away if I open the CASE transform.
Anyone have any ideas or does this appear to be a bug? I am on version 11.7.2.2 of the designer.
go to tool options tool - options - designer - general and tick Single window in workspace -->all the windows are closed
check the DF and see that the mapping Default output has disappeared
The resolution for ADAPT00784399 indicated that it wasn’t fixed in the 11.7 codebase. So, upgrading to a newer version of 11.7.x.x won’t help. It was fixed in the newer version of the product called Data Services.
Bottomline - you have to use Multiple Windows or the CASE transform is buggy. We’ll just workaround the issue until we upgrade to Data Services.
