Cascading Prompt in the universe

Hi,

I have a issue with the cascading prompt in the universe.

I tried creating cascading prompt in the universe.
Tools->List of Values-> cascading option.

But in that the “Generate LOV” has been disabled.

The universe is built from BEX Query. All the objects in the universe has the Associate List of value option disabled.

BO XI 3.1, BEX Query, SAP BW.

Could anyone provide suggestions for this issue.

The “Generate” option for cascading list of values doesn’t do anything special; it just creates basic LOV queries with prompts using a shortcut. If the LOV option is not available from your data source (BEX) then the cascading option isn’t going to work either.

But as I dont have rights in BEX query, is there any other option similar to cascading prompt in the WebI report.

I have a requirement as explained below:
There are 3 objects:
Region, Country, Branch.

So, when Region is selected, the corresponding Country data needs to be dsiplayed.

For ex: If EMEA is selected, the next level EMEA DACH values needs to be selected.

So, in WebI only one column we are displaying the data.
If Region is selected, country value is displayed, if country is selcted Branch value is selected.

I would like to know is there any function similar so we can do this in WebI.
