Our current hardware is located in a data center that is being shut down. Our choice was to allow them to shut down our server and wait for it to physically be moved to a new data center, or upgrade to a new box. Given that our last server upgrade was several years ago and has been running 24x7 ever since, and given that we didn’t want to put our community through the pain of being offline for a period of time we have opted to upgrade to a new server.
