the help feature in webi did nothing so i ran the install and saw that the help files were not installed. after i installed them - same result.
i ran the install again and again it said help files were not installed. yet in designer and desktop intelligence the help files are there.
anyone have any idea what is going on?

I wonder if this is a bug in the web installer. How did you install Rich Client? Was it from InfoView? I installed from InfoView, and I don’t have the help files either.

i didn’t download the sw install ‘discs’ but there is a group folder with all the sw we install on our machines. i just ran setup from there. the attachment shows what is in that folder.

Interesting. I installed from InfoView - Preferences - Web Intelligence. I have a Help folder, but it’s empty.

maybe becuase i have webi already installed i don’t see and ‘install’ option going in via infoview.
not sure what else to do with this one at this point. thanks for the info though. or is that info view?

In InfoView, go to Preferences and look under Web Intelligence. There’s a section in there to select a default Creation/Editing tool. Next to the Desktop option, there’s an “Install Now” button.
It might be worth opening a ticket with Tech Support on this. I’d love to hear what they say.

i see. thanks. as you can tell this is pretty much new to me. yeah, i think i will open a case… once i figure out how to do that. onward and upward.
