Can't access Dashboard Manager

Hi,

I designed a Dashboard and it was working fine. I tried to change the password for user Guest and PMUser, since then I cant access the dashboard even from administrator account.

I get an error shown below
"Intialization parameters in initialization configuration properties file are invalid or mismatched, please contact your system administrator. AA2209
An error occurred at the server : Enterprise authentication could not log you on. Please make sure your logon information is correct. "

What have i done wrong??

I am using XI R2.

Thanks in Advance.

If you change the password for PMUser, then you must also enter that password into the system setup in Performance Management. Log into InfoView as an Administrator, go to Performance Management, click on the Setup button, then System Setup, then System User. At the bottom you’ll see the Initialization User section. The PMUser account sould already be entered there, but enter the new password as well. Then click Apply.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the reply.

When i goto infoview and click on the Performance Management icon i get the same error i posted before.

I think this happened after i tried to diable the Guest account. Its to do with either Guest account or PMUser account which causes the problem for me to access the Dashboard.

I also change the user preferences so that when user logs in he/she can see the dashboard screen rather than Infoview homepage.

Thanks,
Bow

I got this resolved.
Here’s what you need to do.

Logon to Infoview and Click on preferences. Go to the Performance management tab. Change the Initalization logon user option to Administrator. Click Apply, Click Ok. Log off and then log back in.

There is also a config file in the performance management directory where the encrypted password is set.

The PMUser is a really important user for PM and you must try to avoid to touch it and never use it as a normal user.

I have this error too, but if I do this:

I could not see "Initalization logon user option ". Anyone know what’s happening?
