Cannot install CR 2008 after installing BOXIR3

Hi BoBer’s,
I’m trying to install crystal reports 2008 after installing BOXIR3 on windows but the installation didn’t started due to the following error “This release or crystal reports cannot be installed on the same system as Business Objects Release 3”. I unistalled BOXIR3 and installed CR 2008 first then I tryed to install BOXIR3 but I’ve got almost the same error "This product cannot be installed on the same system as Crystal Reports 2008. STU000244” but
I cannot imagin that they are not compatibe and I have to install each product in a different server

Are you using Crystal Reports 2008 SP0?

SP0 is compatible with XI 3.

Just as an FYI. I had an issue with installaing Crystal Reports 2008 on my XP machine with XI 3.1. I installed CR and recieved failed to register .dll errors. I chose to ignore the the error messages. Once the install completed I recieved a procedure entry point error message and CR would on not start. This is a known issue and is resolved with CR 2008’s SP1. Once I kicked off the SP1 it unzipped the files and took several minutes before the installation dialog box appears so be patient. This…

Thanks Miguel, yes I’m using CR 2008 SP0 and I’m still having this problem , I tryed on different machines and I always have the same problem
