We are having a problem with promoting dashboards developed in Dashboards 4.1 from our DEV to TEST environments.
Initially we noticed that when the web services were promoted they were still pointing to the source environment instead of the destination.
After much digging we fixed this after figuring out how the QAAWS connection overrides worked.
Problem now is that the dashboard when promoted gives an error saying, “Cannot find service name=[Service] or you do not have the rights to view this service.”
Thought this might be to do with rights on the Web Service folders but these appear to be correct. We are using relative paths in our Dashboard.
We are thinking now that the next thing to try is to remap all the connections to the web services in the dashboard to point to the TEST service but surely we shouldn’t have to do that every time we promote between systems.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems with promotions?
