hi Guys,
I have a report based on a Universe. I want to point that report to another universe, i click on the […] button (in Webi or Rich Client - I get the normal cross check windows 9the one that compares objects) all fine, click OK … then Nothing … the report is not pointing to the new universe…
is there any other way i can change the universe a report is linked to? Maybe in the CMC?

Hi Intelligentsia,
You may change universe directly in the report under Edit Query. Under Edit Query, choose properties beside the object tab. You can see the current universe connected to the report. Click the look up button then choose the universe you want to apply into the report.
NOTE: Make sure the object name is similar to the object name of the new universe. This will avoid missing object once you refresh the report. It is better you have a back up copy of your report before you apply this.

I have also the same problem, when i go to edit query /properties tab / the … button and i select the new universe i receive a screen where all my objects have green V’s but when I click OK and go back to the … button still my old universe is selected.
Hopefully somebody can help us

Your problem could be Java related (version), also have you tried with the admin account?
Have you tried purging before re-pointing and maybe removing any variables that are likely to error?
