Cannot Access Security File

Our NT Server has been running Document Agent Server successfully.

As of a few days ago, all the jobs continue to fail, because users could
not reach the security domain.

I tried to run Bus. Obj. locally on the Server. After the login screen,
the error ‘Cannot Access Security File’ keeps appearing. It seems like
it can no longer see/access the BOMain.key file. I tried a safe
recovery using GENERAL/SUPERVISOR, and it still doesn’t work.

Do I need to reinstall Business Objects? Thanks in advance!!

What version of BO are you using? In earlier versions of 4.1.x, there
was a problem with a corrupt objects.lsi file when several users
attempted to run reports simultaneously. If that is your problem, then
upgrading to the latest versions – 4.1.4+ should fix this problem.

Hi there,

Create a new bomain.key and change the setting for the database
“Disconnect after each transaction”

This should work.

This exact error message is discussed on the BusinessObjects knowledge base
at www.techsupport.businessobjects.com. The problem is actually not in the
BOMain.key file but with another file. You will find your answer on this
site.

Just replace the \BusinessObjects\Locdata\Objects.lsi.
