can you set embedded excel to 1904 date mode?

sorry to post again so soon.

The source data (from excel) that I’ll need to copy and paste each month is using 1904 date mode in order to deal with negative times.

In standard excel you change this using File > Options > Advanced > Use 1904 date system

In the embedded excel within xcelsius the file menu is not available. Is there a way to set this to 1904 date mode … or will I need to have an additional calculation to convert all the pasted values into the relevant value for non-1904 date mode ?

As an off-the-cuff suggestion, try exporting the data model (under the Data menu), setting the option, then re-importing the data model.

brilliant, I didn’t think of that.
I’m deeply stuck in the middle of another task but will post up next week whether this does the job. I am most grateful for the suggestion
