If you go to the properties page of the object in the CMC you should see a Universe link in the toolbar. Clicking on the link will give you the universes used by the report.
You can do that in CMC by clicking right mouse button on object, then pick up tools->Check Relationships. The query result should inform you what universes where used.
Yes. The “Tools–>Check relationship” feature of an object is avaliable in XI R3.x only.
In XI R2, as mentioned in the above post go to the properties page of the object in the CMC, you can see a Universe sub tab. If you click that sub tab you can see the universe and universe connection used by the report.
This info is about related objects to object on which query was ran. So if query was run on report object and any universe is displayed as result, the report is based on that universe. Besides you can check it out in reports properties → Default Settings → Report Universes, Ive noticed recently
Is there any way of getting this information for multiple reports, eg via a Macro in an Excel sheet?
We’ve taken over a bunch (technical term) of reports and don’t want to go through each one individually to find out which universe each is built, and the BOB XI R2 system we’re using has nearly 100 universes available…
