can v open child in parent in a limited area using url btn?

Hi,

can we open child in parent at a limited area using url btn??

currently its opening in the other window… or in the same window(in whole page) unable to go back and make the changes from parent…

Yes you can, but there are some caveats.

First, use a SWF loader component, size it to how you want, and set the application to “This”.

Next, use a push button, not a URL button, and use that to toggle the dynamic visibility of the SWF loader.

Now the caveats:

  1. You need to use the documentDownload not opendocument
  2. The embedded flash file will be opened on launch of the parent, and depending on the child dashboard (whether it has flash variables that you pass) it will be reloaded again when you change the visibility
