I am using BI Web Services to feed a Dashboard. At random, we get an error "Cannot Access External Data. An internal error occured while calling ‘Loadstate’ API. (Error: ERR_WIS_30270). When it happens, the error shows up in preview mode as well as any deployed dashboards on Infoview as well as our web server. This leads me to believe that the error has more to do with WebI than anything else. It may also be related to a configuration on the server?? Hard to say without knowing what the error means.
Although, I am totally perplexed by this error. This does not occur all the time and there is no way of knowing when it will show up and how long it will persist before it goes away and the dashboard starts functioning normally.
My web service queries are scheduled to refresh on load and then every 5 minutes. We have also upped the session limit at the WebI end to 300.
What could be causing this error? I have searched everywhere to no avail.
Can someone please throw some light on this issue if possible? It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I get a similar error but using QaaWS and SWF’s hosted outside of Infoview. In our case it’s a ‘concurrent’ error which has just apparently been fixed by BOBJ 4.0 SP6 FP4 (released last week)
We were able to find evidence of it in the stdout.log on the server. You may be able to trace it through this log.
I wouldnt be surprised to find it’s in some way related.
After upgrading to BO 4.1 we are getting these error. Its extremely frustrating rebuilding the Webi document and recreating the QaaWS connection doesn’t fix the error. Did anyone figure out a solution?
I’ve also seen this error on the same connections.
