Hi,
My Sr. manager wants to know whether from BOXI Unv. we can call stored procedure or not for some different project requirements. he didnt describe.
I told him yes. But he wants to know about the details.
Can anybody explain or share any material?
Thanks,
Ranjan

you can use desktop intelligence to create query based on stored procedure and refresh them in webi. But if you want an advice, the stored proc based reports are not the best businessobjects stuff. you should rather use an universe

you can’t call stored procedure in webi. webi only allow univers based queries…

Thanks Bernand. Do you have any documents supporting BOXIR2 can call stored procedure.
As manager wants some kind of proof prior to commit.
Thanks,

yes, but it appears to be a tricky and unsuported way to use Stored proc on Webi. maybe it could work on some webi release but if I was you I should’nt run the risk to use this unsupported solution on which BusinessObjects will not provide any support and help in case of troubles…
