Cache server and Processing server

Hi ,

We are on dashboard 4.0 . Recently when are are checking for the improvement of performance of our dashboards, we came to know that even though the queries are executed for multiple times, ‘Dashboards cache server’ is not processing the cached queries (though the data is getting cached) instead ‘Dashboards processing server’ itself is processing the bex queries in all the subsequent times which is in turn hindering the performance.

Cache hit ratio under Dashboards cache server metrics remains 0% all the time.

So it seems cache server is being bypassed and every time Processing server is processing the queries, though data is getting cached.Please tell me how can I invoke the cache server to process the queries instead of processing server in the subsequent times? Am I missing any settings?

Have you checked the properties for the Dashboard Caching server, in particular is “Share Data Between Clients” checked, and is “Oldest On_Demand Data Given to a Client” set to some value (in sec.) such as 600?
