BusinessQuery causes unnecessary prompts to save changes

Hi All

A “Do you want to save changes?” prompt appears when closing a spreadsheet with a query that either has already been saved or that has had no changes. Opening an existing query within an existing Excel file. If you re-open the Excel file and immediately try to close it without any modifications in BQ, you’re asked to save changes even if you took no action. How do I eliminate this unnecessary prompt?

Please any ideas ?

Unload the BQ before you open the Excel File…

Is the prompt a Microsoft Excel prompt (it’ll be in the title bar of the prompt)? Does it happen even if you don’t load BusinessQuery?

If so, there may be a formula in the Excel file that uses a changing function (such as @NOW). This would really truly change the file each time you open it. So the prompt would be valid.

If you’re version is 6.x, it may simply be an anomaly. We’ve seen it and discussed it here.
