Could you please share your strong points to suggest the client if he/she is ready to select BusinessObjects or Crystal Reports.

it depends on his needs : BO is dedicated to ad-hoc reporting and let users able to quickly create queries on the fly while Crystal is more know as a mass-reporting system

In the past, WebI was more for adhoc and Crystal was more for formatted reporting. That line is beginning to blur in each new release. Therefore, it basically boils down to which tool you are more comfortable to use (in-house skill set), what is your existing infrastructure, and how much you can afford (Crystal licenses are generally higher than WebI licenses)?

Crystal server is couple times cheaper :), but in general if your customer choose Edge version of BO, then Crystal is already included (2 developer licenses?) so the customer can choose which reporting tool to use. it’s reasonable to use Crystal if your customer is asking for pixel perfect reporting, while WebI is more close to ad-hoc.
