I’m working on a site that use the NT Authentication for all their PC. Some of the users are using Laptop, and liked to be able to work offline when unplugged to the network.
And of course, when you use the NT Authentication with BusinessObjects, you don’t have the login window on which you have a chance to specify that you’d like to work Offline, therefore BusinessObjects consider that you are working OnLine and try to connect to the repository and failed due to the fact that the laptop is not connected to any sort of network. So far the solution is a batch file that replace the NT Authentication Driver, and then the user is not considered to be using the NT Authentication.
So I guess the question may be : Is there any other way than the login windows to specify that we’d like to work offline ?
