Business Query Log On

When I login into Business Query, I’m being prompted for my username and password, which I enter, click OK and all seems fine. However, I can not use BQ, the buttons are all greyed out and when I go back to business query on the menu, it gives me the option to load again, as though I am not logged in. I’ve checked in supervisor and I have permission to use the tool. Any ideas please?

I’ve seen this in version 5.1.8. The first time you load it, it doesn’t take, and you have to load it again.

You could also try re-doing the “tools, add-in” part. In excel, select Tools, Add-ins, uncheck Business Query, close excel and open it, then select Tools, Add-ins, Browse (don’t just check Business Query again), re-select the BQAPI and answer “yes” to replace it, click ok until all the dialog boxes are closed, close excel and open it, then try loading again.

Make sure you have a blank Excel file open. The buttons will be greyed out if you don’t (but you shouldn’t have to load more than once).
