Business Query for Excel('97)

Problem with the Business Query add-in for Excel ('97). Queries run ok for
a while then, for no apparent reason, some items on the ‘BusinessQuery’ menu
become unavailable (greyed out) or the Business Query menu itself is greyed
out. Obviously when the ‘Refresh Query/ies’ options become unavailable the
queries can no longer be updated.
Sometimes closing and opening the file fixes this but sometimes it doesn’t.
The problem has even occurred when Excel and BQ are the only apps running on
the PC so it doesn’t look like a memory issue.
If anyone has experienced anything similar or has any ideas, it would be
very much appreciated.

Yes, I am experiencing this behavior sporadically myself. Queries mysteriously become unavailable…??
I do not like BQ at all, but unfortunately, many queries are generated through this tool here.
I just had a user call me experiencing this. When he tries to re-insert the query into a blank
workbook, he gets the following message: “These files are the same”

I have no solutions yet…will be calling BO tech support today. You wrote this a while back, so if you have
any solutions, I’d appreciate it.
