Business Objects as a SCOREcard or Dashboard

Perhaps this is the wrong area to post this question however I was curious if anyone uses BO for SCOREcard / dashboarding and if so what can you tell me about it.

Thanks,

There is a separate software suite available from Business Objects called “Dashboard Manager” - you might want to look into this.

And if your finances don’t stretch to that you can create limited scorecards within Reporter. It all depends what you need to achieve?

I’d like to hear experiences from companies using Business Objects’s performance and dashboard manager products.

-What are the + and - sides compared to competitors?

  • Has the deployment taken more effort than anticipated before the project?
  • How do the end users rate these products, what do they especially like or dislike in these products?

We are in the process of selecting a balanced scorecard tool and this is one option so I’d like to hear some real life experiences of these products.

Years ago we used to do this. Imagine a report with four tabs, breaking a company down nationally, then by regions, areas and individuals. Within each tab there where four ‘quadrants’, with such titles as ‘People’ and ‘Process’. Each of these were represented by a number of measures, which were key performance indicators for the business. Then a series of traditional alerters were used to highlight good and bad performance. It’s probably worth you giving us a bit more info. Welcome to BOB, btw  Here is a nice link to a cool dashboard trick
