Business Objects and IBM DB2 database

Does Business Objects work against IBM DB2 (Mainframe) database?

Is there any special considerations?

Yes, I use BO5.1 and BO6.5 whit Oracle and IBM DB2.
There isn’t a problem

yes and there must be dozens of posts here that mention DB2 Connect as the preferred middleware and other posts that talk about modifying the prm file for DB2 and even more that get into specifc SQL resolutions

Yes that’s what we’ve got here, DB2 z/os v7 repository and data access.

Special considerations? Well, I think starting from scratch and given our site is no longer pure-DB2, an Oracle or SQL Server repository would be a better option simply because support for DB2 is always done later (c.f. v6.5.1 doesn’t support DB2 z/os v8 repository), and finding people in tech support who understand DB2-specifics (tablespaces etc) has sometimes proved difficult.
We’ve not had any (notable) problems using DB2 for data access (i.e. reporting data).
