Yes, salesforce.com is a datasource available to Crystal Reports.

Hello Andy,

Thanks for the reply . I am really confused about the process of integration and how we generate reports using salesforce.com data. Can we directly pull the data from salesforce.com tables or else do we need to write SOQL statements in order to do this. If possible, can you please explain me the process flow for this.

Since salesforce provides reporting capabilities they probably use Crystal… Maybe you can contact their support …

Just so this is updated as of BOE 4.1 SP5 the latest Data Direct drivers are supported and will be distributed in BOE 4.2.

Its important to note that the driver will use a system account. if you need to pass the authentication of the user logged in to get their data based on their roles and rights we have a solution for that at launchworks.com

For a little more understanding on all the integration options both front end and backend I have a notes here

Hello Kevin,

this seems like some product placement, also known as advertising, which is not allowed here on BOB in a regular post. Please, revisit your post.

Thanks,
Andreas

Thanks. Having been a banner advertiser and supporter on BOB for years I understand. As the prior message says “Maybe you can contact their support …” which is not valuable to anyone coming to BOB for answers. in fact none of the answers on BOB related to SalseForce.com were accurate making BOB irrelevant as a source of research. Not what anyone wants.

How can we provide value to the BOB forum in having the CORRECT answer to any question to point out that there are 3rd party solutions available without a link to the third party solution Decision Point, Centigon, LaunchWorks, 360, Infolytic etc without pointing out the 3rd party solution exists?

I am of course not talking about spamming and putting these messages on unrelated posts. But if the question is how do I add a map into Webi then the answer is Cmaps. If the answer is how to integrate Webi to SalesForce how do we answer then the answer is a 3rd party?

In fact I recommend we have full transparency and much like SAP has done lets add a 3rd party solution area on BOB. That way people can get the right answer and know who is proposing it but are not forced to research for hours or worse yet go to their boss saying there is no solution when one exists.

Thoughts ?
