Hello!
I’m trying to figure out how to run a business objects script without having to manually/interactively provide a userid and password.
I’ve not been able to find a way hard-code userid and password…either by the command line arguments or within the script. I’ve also not been able to configure bus objs so as not to require a user id and password.
I’d be happy to us VB and OLE to do the scripting, if I could find a way to provide the userid and password as part of the VB script.
Here’s the command line string I’m executing:
busobj -nologo -once -script newptf
The script “newptf” executes successfully, but only after I key in the userid and password when prompted.
The script is just opening reports and printing them out to a file printer. There is no refresh involved and the reports are being sourced from a directory. There is no repository or dbms access, security isn’t needed for the work the script is doing.
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
