Well my CMS is finally installed and I’m trying to get a jump on some of the more mundane tasks…
I have a spreadsheet with a list of about 800 End user client IDs (external to our company but who will eventually have access to our BO system).
We’re planning on letting each client have a ‘public sandbox’ of sorts so that multiple employees at each client can have a place to share their own custom documents.
We are looking into 360view to help manage the security for the users…and eventually I believe I’ll be able to import from an Excel spreadsheet the actual user list and some of the group permissions (I hope).
I do NOT believe it has any way to create or assign rights to folders (I could be wrong). So I’m planning to manually create each one, by hand… inputting the name, description and assigning it to a group for security rights…
Is there any easy way to automate this for a onetime load? I’m sure the CMC could do this but by the time I figure that all out I could have created the groups manually.
Ideally some of you with 360view experience might tell me that it will in fact handle folders, or someone has created a small app that might do the job.
