I have been trying to execute a list of reports (Deski Reports published in repository) by triggering a Standalone Java program that uses all the jars from BOXIR3. Though the program refreshes the reports properly, there are few reports that are throwing the following error.
No server was available to process request. Please try again later.
(Error: RFC 00101)
The same reports work fine when executed thru Infoview and thru Desktop Intelligence. I am not sure why these reports throw the error in Java program. All reports are using same universe and the same connection. Could anyone help to understand the possible issues since this error message seem to be a generic one. thanks.
Yes i did do a search for 2 days before posting mine. I have tried all suggestions that i found. But I could not resolve my problem. I have tried to run only one report at a time instead of multiple reports. Still the same error.
One point that I missed to mention is, all reports and java program that i talked about were working fine in XIR2. We recently migrated the whole thing to XIR3 and that is when we started getting issues with few reports.
We sort of found the issue here…but yet to try that out. The issue seems to be with the ReportIDs that we use in the java program. We have a static table that has the names of all reports and their IDs. After migrating to XIR3, these reportIds have been changed (though not for all). So all the reports which got new ReportIds in Xir3 failed with ‘RFC 00101’ Error. Fixing these IDs should solve the problem.
