We are currently testing BOXIR2 and will be upgrading to SP2 & applying CHF18 as well. My question is do we want to upgrade to SP2 before applying CHF18 (that is the way it sounds).
On a side note has anyone had issues after or when upgrading to SP2 for BOXIR2?

It is terribly confusing, but SP2 and CHFxx are mutually exclusive.
Patches to XIr2 with SP1, follow the CHF series (CHF17, CHF18, etc.)
Patches to XIr2 with SP2, follow the Fix Pack series (FP2.1, FP2.2, etc.)

I am currently upgrading from SP1 to SP2 and am a little confused. In the SP2 Getting Started Guide and on techsupport (dont have the link) there is the suggestion (it is not clear to me whether MHF1 is a required initial upgrade before installing SP2) that MHF1 needs to be installed on top of SP1 prior to installing SP2.
As I have not installed MHF1 I am wondering if it is necessary. In any case, I think that I am going to install MHF1 first but it would be interesting to find out if there were any gremlins in the SP1 vanilla upgrade to SP2.

Just an append to this: Release notes (xir2pp_releasenotes_en.pdf, pg 14, “Installation and Migration”) suggest that MHF1 is included with SP2 in the full installation.
