Windows Vista is the Client OS.

Why are you trying to run the server installation of BOXIR2 on the Client OS??

I think they should have mentioned this in the Installation Guide which you are referring.

I concur. Vista is a client OS, and only the client tools should be installed on the box. Although it does have the ability to have a web server installed, it is not fun to manage.
