Every few years I come here to grab a tool and it justifies every penny I spend here.

Even better, this one justified all the time I spend here, which is much harder. Huge thanks to the author.

Hi,

Its very nice tool to see the Repository. I feel it will be good, if you can add one more sheet with space usage by Project folder also.

Thanks,
Shyam.

Hi All,

Any help will be highly appreciated.

I am using XI 3.1 SP 2 FP 2.3 and Excel 2003 SP3.

I am getting error message -

CrystalEnterprise12.FW_InfoObject.1 - -2147210694: 1000440

and process stops.
Can you please provide some insight.

I also want to find out list of reports that will be impacted by changing an object in a universe in webi. Is thr a tool available for it.

Thanks & Regards
Arun

Hi,

Here are the 8th versions of HRS’s BOXI Repository Documentor tools.

I am attaching them here since it’s not possible to merge HRS’s post in the BOB’s Uploads section with this topic.
BOXI Repository Documentor R3 v8.zip (402.0 KB)
BOXI Repository Documentor R2 v8.zip (418.0 KB)

each time I get this error
:Run-time errr -2147417848 (800010108)

The object invoked has disconnected from its clients.

Dumb question but just to make sure, if my CMS name is “BO_DEV”, what exactly am I entering in the CMS field?

Hello ,

We are using XI R2. When I run this macro I am getting this error below.

CrystalEnterprise12.SessionMgr.1 - -2147024891: 1000440

I went references tab and selected all the 11.5 dll’s but still I am facing the problem.

Can anyone please help me.

Downloaded and used R2 v8, work great, ta very much.

One thing though, only giving me two universes instead of 200. Any ideas? Were on BOXI R2 SP3, if that helps.

Really nice tool have been using it from some time…Thanks a lot

Dose any one know how we can get the parameters included in it. I tried with si_prompts, but no luck.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I second that last request - doing a migration with a lot of reports that have prompts and would love to be able to get a list of the prompts so that I can go back to the developers and ask them what a good value for those prompts would be.

Other than that - what a FAB tool! Great work!

I needed to change the following in the macro to get it work (XI 31 version)

CreateObject (“CrystalEnterprise.SessionMgr”) by

CreateObject (“CrystalEnterprise12.SessionMgr.1”)

Actually the correct string can be found by doing a search for “CrystalEnterprise.SessionMgr” in the registry to get the proper ProgId

Hope this helps

Anyone know if it is possible to have the name of the connection show up if the report is using one or more ODBC connections rather than a universe? That is the only thing I am missing to be able to replace a manual excel sheet that we keep today!

Thanks to all who have made this thing as great as it is!

Can you ran this tool from any workstation?

HRS…GREAT TOOL!!

I have a couple of questions about v8. We are using the tool and getting most of our data from the repository on a BOE 3.1 SP3 environment.

  1. It seems that we are not getting all our users under Usage by User (My account is missing along with 75 others) We have the set the Document Record limit at 100000 and are not using start/end dates. Doc types, Output Doc type when scheduled and Statii are all set to ‘All’

  2. When we look at the Grand Total at the bottom of the T column, it is showing we are using 271GB out of 300GB. When we look at the file store it is showing we have 35GB of free space. There seems to be a discrepancy in the calculation somewhere in the spreadsheet.

Any assistance you can provide would be most grateful.

HRS…It dawned on me since we appear to be missing users, the 4GB discrepancy could be found there. I am thinking if we had all users our totals would tie out.

Thanks again.
