Hi guys.
At my work we have multiple Business Objects environments (5.1, 6.5 and BoXi sp2r2).
From my work PC I have Designer installed for all three environments and Supervisor installed for 5.1 and 6.5.
I have been working using this setup for a couple of years.
A few weeks ago I started getting the error, “Cannot retrieve the time reference for the security domain. (USR0014)” when attempting to log into Business Objects Full Client/Supervisor or Designer in my 5.1 environment.
The 5.1 repository is setup on a SQL Server 2000 database.
No other administrators are currently experiencing the same issue.
I have seen many posts regarding this issue I am having, but none of the resolutions (that I have found) have been able to resolve my particular issue.
Amongst other things I have tried:
- Deleting and re-installing the 5.1 Supervisor module.
- Copying the BOMain.key file from a working machine.
- Running a Safe Recovery from the Installer application.
After Defining the Repository Connection (and testing successfully) I click next and get the error message “No security domain exists for this connection. {ADW0010)”. - I have compared my ODBC setup multiple times with other machines that work and even checked that the ODBC drivers are the same, which they are.
- I have run the BOLOGAPP.exe application. Attached below is the complete output of that.

From the above it appears to me to be a problem running a select statement on the database when attempting to log in.
“select {fn convert({fn curdate()},SQL_TIMESTAMP)} from OBJ_M_MAGICID”
When I log into query analyser from my machine using the same Key logon credentials I can run the statement fine.
After this analysis it would appear to me that my problems are ODBC related, but I am out of ideas as to what else I can configure with an ODBC connection.
Does anybody have any other suggestions they could offer?
Thanks in advance for any help provided with this issue.
Cheers!
