Our requirement is to build a global data warehouse from data coming from ERPs systems on oracle, microsiga and sap systems. And all the data is going to go into HANA.
Question:
- When i use data services to pull oracle data into hana, should the table i pass in hana match exactly with Oracle source table? Oracle source table has a mix of master and transaction information.
- Or, I need to break the Oracle table into Master tables (example: Customer tabel, Material table) and transaction table (Invoice related transaction data) and pass those to Hana. (Data from SAP comes to Hana thru SLT in master and transaction table form i guess)
- If option2, when i pull data from other source, say microsiga, should the master data for customer go in same customer master table i created for Oracle? Or a separate Customer Master should be maintained in HANA per source?
Requirement for BODS is to pull data everyday from non sap sources and do insert + update on the tables that are passed to HANA.
