are there any advantages to having client tools installed locally? or is there no difference if it is installed on the server and users remote in?

Many advantages to have client tools ---- Many
What is the point of logging into server …So if you have 500 users then will you create 500 accounts to server. It will reduce the performance drastically or event might crash.
For users all they need is Infoview or BI launchpad to view reports.
Client tools are for developer to design universes, develop report, Convert report, develop dashboards etc…,

A) 32-bit versus 64-bit
B) Why give users access to the server, which they must have to run the client tools?
Fine for a sandbox envionment, but not for a production environment.

i forgot to mention that this would be just for developers. if there were about 5, we just thought it might be easier because of configuration issues but it really shouldn’t be an issue. someone thought it might just be easier to remote in but i do see the point of server performance.
