I thought this one may not have been visited by many yet, but luckily I found the answer anyway (well, to be truthful my manager did!)
The missing link is a registry key that lists the various connection types as they appear in the [SQL SYNTAX] area of the .sbo file.
When we added our entry for ‘Intersolv Sequalink’ it didn’t appear in the connection dialog until we entered the same string under the registry key.
If your looking for it, then try searching for ‘Generic ODBC’ in the registry.
