One of our collegues has installed BO XIR3 and made some tests, especially with the Scheduler. When he tried a report schedule, with PDF export sent by mail, he has this error message :
File location failure. Failure on the file [D:\boxi31\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\Data\procSched\TERBODEV.AdaptiveJobServer\CHILD1\JOB2\tempWebiArtifact15048.PDF]. Cause : [com.crystaldecisions.sdk.exception.SDKServerException: File system operation for a_217\010\000\2777\tempWebiArtifact15048.PDF on File Repository Server failed. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator for event log information. cause:com.crystaldecisions.enterprise.ocaframework.idl.OCA.oca_abuse: IDL:img.seagatesoftware.com/OCA/oca_abuse:3.2 detail:File system operation for a_217\010\000\2777\tempWebiArtifact15048.PDF on File Repository Server failed. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator for event log information. The server supplied the following details: OCA_Abuse exception 6404 at [.\osca_fs_impl.cpp : 572] 46454 {a_217\010\000\2777\tempWebiArtifact15048.PDF} ].
The services have been running and haven’t crashed. What should my collegue do ?
Could you post the info from the event log on the server?
Does this just happen to PDF, how about Excel?
Does a standard schedule work, Webi?
Did you re-boot the server, after the install?
There was no event log on the server, my collegue didn’t found it. The standard Scheduler doesn’t work, he tried unsuccessfuly, whatever the document is.
He has just rebooted the server and it’s the same situation…
This is the Windows event log, this should record the error.
What service pack is he on?
Has he tried this using the admin account?
Is the filestore on a different machine, does the BOXI service account have rights to write to that drive?
I meant the filestore ;).
Whether it is mailed or not the BO service account still needs access to the filestore drive.
This may or may not be an issue, it depends if the filestore resides on a different machine.
So, to clarify, even scheduling a webi report does not work?
Please answer the rest of the questions, I need as much info as possible to try and solve this…
I haven’t configured an SMTP server before.I am working on CMC BO-XI 3.1 . I was actually trying to start scheduling a Deski report to myself for testing and then i will schedule them to stake holders. I have followed steps from SAP-BO ADMIN GUIDE XI 3.1. page 203.204
According to the guide i have configured
1.Adaptive job server
2.Crystalreportsjob server
3.Desktopintelligencejob server
4.Destinationjob Server
5.Programjob server.
I choose properties- destination - email and added domain,host details.
I tried it as plain and login as authentication.
Someone suggested that when you choose plain authentication,You don’t need username/pwd .That didn’t work either.
It comes up with same error as below :-
login error. [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]: [SMTP Server does not support [Plain] authentication protocol. Return code: [SMTP 530 - Authentication required.].]
