BO XI R2: generating report about existing user, groups, ...

Is it possible to generate a report in BO XI R2 (DeskI or WebI) that shows all users, groups, folders and their belongings/hierarchy?

Could I maybe read the BIAR file in some way?

You might find the Security Viewer very helpful for what you are looking for. Did you try that already?

IMO Whats a good idea for this task, is to make yourself familiar with the BOXI sdk(either .NET or JAVA depending on your version).

You can quite easily build your own scripts to examine BOXI system content, which is really handy when you want to do things such as above.

check out https://boc.sdn.sap.com and go to the relevant community(depending on your setup). There are samples you can use to get yourself up and going.

Be sure to install on a test environment.

BOXI UserList & Group Extraction

Here is a little excel file with a bit of VBA code to extract from a CMS the complete list of user and the list of groups each user is member of. Quite useful when you need to check group membership… It’s now possible to edit the CMS data, simply by modify entries in the Excel File. You need then to export your modification back to the CMS.
