Thats what the support page says now, that a new account will be created for accessing techsupport.
No idea if they will intimate us and we have to go somewhere on the website to create it.

The other links also looks to be undergoing some change.
But as of now almost anything you click is redirected to “welcome to SAP world”
Infact I had sent a mail to them yesterday that the desired pages are not accessible but no reply yet

They have been advertising this for several weeks.

well - it seems also the documentation is now beyond an required login?
only wanted to check something and everything is gone …

So I will have to wait for the promised NEW LOGIN ??

So it’s only confusing but still working

Starting today (July 7, 2008), the Business Objects Tech Support site is at http://service.sap.com/support. You need to go to http://service.sap.com first to set up a user account if you have not done so. If you are the primary contact person at your organization, you should have already received a letter from SAP to assign you as the superadministrator for your organization. This will allow you to set up or delete user accounts for your organization.

In addition the the sites listed by substring documentation is now at http://help.sap.com. Like the old Business Objects support site where documentation was located you do not need a login.

However, the documentation does not include supported platform information.

“A letter with your personal log on data is currently being sent to all current named users and primary contacts”

Has anyone received their letter with the log-in data yet?

I have an emergency production issue and I cannot access BO support. I called twice and they told me that my company isn’t in the SAP system yet.

I feel a little bit better knowing that others haven’t got their SAP “letter” yet.

I got the letter with id and password today. The site is a bit messed up just navigating the site has required me to login about half a dozen time. The place to setup single signon is not available; combine this with a new 11 character user id I am not not happy. We will talk to TAM this week.

It’s a mess. Why does a company have to do this to its customers? :reallymad:

newgun :us: (BOB member since 2007-08-01)

I just spoke with them again. The SAP support informed me that the migration is not completed and we are not in their system. I have no way to obtain a S-number or my customer number. Even my sales person is blowing me off.

This was a horrible day to have a production system issue.

I am getting worried about the whole SAP takeover. They kept saying it will remain a separate company and nothing will change. Now with this support issue, no conference this year, and our reps have been really bad to responding to us! I think BO will never be the same now that its under SAP! :x

I got my letter last week, and that’s where I got the information about the superadministrator as I have stated in my previous post.

The new support site is good. But it is not as easy as used to be to open a new case. Another thing I noticed is that all my previous cases with OCS are now gone. Good thing I have archived all the case information myself.

The new site might be better (they couldnt really make it worse, now could they), but having your knowledgebase locked behind a password is very strange or better: awkward. For instance it will make responding to posts here a lot more difficult.

That SAP locked away some stuff, that used to be publicly accessible is just aggrevating…

If indeed old OCS entries are gone, that would be a less than perfect migration :frowning:

Halleluja…
finally we found the letter… using the snailmail is a bit unexpected in a business where consultants are spread all over the world and a letter can only be at one place at a time ^^ - but now I am “in” but the userid is really a bit a problem… a postit on the monitor helps me! - big brother forgive me!
