Hi,

Do you have a correct BOmain.key file in the locdata folder?

Ohk the thing is that supervisor, designer are working fine.
and only my test server is working fine and prod and T1 are not working.
So i think that BOmain key is rightl.
There someother issue with server.

Check the Configuration settings (i.e. IP Address or Hostname and availability of Ports) using Configuration Tool > Update ORB.

Generally, updating ORB helps sorting Server start-up issues. :+1:

production enviroment has cluster of servers if its of any help.

also in configration tool when I opened Configuration Tool > Update ORB
it gives an ip address which is no longer active and it gives some error

BUt the catch is for T and T1 enviroment this ip address does not throw any error .
This could result in changes in configration settings so i just want be sure before i make any changes :)[/quote]

The values you provide in Configuration Tool, directly affect Clustering. So be careful.

At the same time, it is also true that if there is an error while Updating ORB, definitely BO server will not start-up.

By the way, what error message are you getting?

I think there is some change at Network level and that is the root cause. Please check with Network team if there is any change in IP address, etc.

i am getting that port is already in use.
Both primary and secondary node have same ip and first tcp port.

The exact error is the port already in use which is 1000. cft05040

Error message shows that some processes are still running in background.

Kill those processes manually or use wikill.

And then re run the configuration Tool. And check the Port Status. I am not sure why it is showing same IP for Primary and Secondary nodes??

Check with Network team before making any change.

in test and T1 both primary and secondary have same ip address and the server is running fine in that case.

But for production it is not running please tell me whether primary and secondary nodes should be different or not if yes then can u tell me the reason for it

I am still wondering - how can 2 systems on network gets same IP??

For configuring Secondary/Client node, you select Secondary or Client from the Node Type dropdown list on the Node page in Configuration Tool. See attached screenshot.

On the Local Node tab, set the IP address/hostname of the local node and first TCP port.
On the Primary Node tab, set the IP address/hostname as well as the first TCP port used by this primary node.
Note - Use Hostname if using DHCP.

Important - The primary node must be configured and running when you configure a secondary or client node.

I suspect if there is any Secondary node configured in your case. Please confirm. 8)

i just reconfigured primary node. and gave the ip address of primary node only and now everything is working fine.
