BO Schedules sending duplicate emails
There are times when BO schedule sends duplicate email to business users may be twice or thrice. There is some time difference between the emails One Ex: Mail1 at 10:56 Mail2 at 11:16 .

Sorry for late response.
I heard that this issue is intermittent for last 3 years. The BOBJ version is BO XI R2 FP 3.2 and sits on AIX.
The schedule shows daily once though.
You mentioned that the emails could be hours apart. How does that line up with the execution time of the schedule? If the schedule itself is running for hours (and includes the time that both of the emails were sent), then that would support my theory of failure retries.
Also, it’s possible that your SMTP server is re-sending the emails. Check out its logs if possible.
I am not sure how SMTP server is triggering the report schedules.
The schedule is just scheduled once and daily.
No schedule failure at all.
But 2 mails are sent within duration of around 15 minutes.
The SMTP server is what is sending the email. It’s possible that BO is sending one request to the SMTP server to send the message, but the SMTP server is sending it twice.
