Okay all you Business Objects experts out there, I have a bunch of reports that need to be converted from Business Objects to Business Query because the users need them in Excel format. Does anyone know if a conversion can be done to avoid having to rebuild them all manually?
Choosing ‘Save As’> .BQY from the file menu doesn’t work if there is more than one data provider.

Here’s a work-around that I have used successfully. You may have already thought of this.
Open the document with multiple data providers. Delete all but the first data provider. Save that using the Save As BQY option. Close the document without saving.
Reopen the document. Delete all but the second data provider. Save that using the Save As BQY option. Again, close the document without saving.
Repeat for all further data providers.
Once you have the individual queries, you then have to add each one to the Excel spreadsheet. Any linking or other processing will have to be done via Excel macros since linking is not a feature of BusinessQuery.
