BO report taking long time to fetch data in Infoview

Hi all,

Currently I am dealing with performance issue of some BO report in production system.
some reports are taking lot of time to refresh (more than 5 min) in infoview as well as in WEBI.
I have gone through some topics from forum

Webi & Better Performance

I have tried changing properties like autofit height / width
removing page numbers from report.
which helped me upto some extend.

can any one please tell me what is the best way to calculate variable in BO report?
what Functions we should use and what not?
also any performance tuning can be done at BO report side.

The first thing you should do is isolate the SQL from Infoview and find out how long it takes to run through a SQL client like TOAD.
