I just performed a brand new installation of BO Enterprise XI on a Windows 2008 Standard Server, which worked well. It uses Oracle XE as the database for its CMS.
After this I installed Data Services 3.2. Since then BO Enterprise XI can’t reach the CMS anymore. I get the following error when attempting to log in:
I restarted Apache, the Server Intelligence Agent and WinHTTP Webproxy service manually (using the Central Configuration Manager) with no result.
Could there possibly be a conflict between BO Enterprise and Data Services?
After rolling back my installation (easily done on a virtual environment) to the point before installing Data Services, the same problem still exists, that is, I have to restart the services manually after a reboot and then everything works fine locally. I run on Windows Server 2008 Standard, and Oracle XE as a database.
Working from a client is fine with the browser apps (Infoview, WebI and CMC). Tried this from various platforms: Win2003, WinXP, Win7 and even Ubuntu (again easily done from virtual machines).
However there seems to be now way to get Web Intelligence Rich Client running from a client. It keeps saying the CMS is not running, but it definitely is…
