Hi,
I have few xcelsius dashboards developed using Xcelsius2008 and Live Office connections. I am able to successfully deploy them into BO 3.1 Server.
But recently there was plan to upgrade the server to 4.1 SP2. As part of that I have opend the xlf files using 4.1 SP2 Dashboards client tools and when i am trying to deploy them I am getting error “Could not generate the Flashb files (SWF) the cause is not known. Try again. If the problem persists, contact your customer support representative”.
Even when I am locally previewing it also, i am facing the same issue. Can any one come across this issue before, please help us on this.

So are you trying to deploy Dashboards 4.1 SP2 to a BO 3.1 server? Or do you get this error when you save the 2008 dashboard from Dashboards 4.1 SP2 (which you should do before you attempt to deploy them to BI 4.1 SP2).
If you are attempting to eploy Dashboards 4.1 SP2 to a BO 3.1 server, I am sure that will not work.

Thank You for responding.
I am not deploying to old server. we are upgrading to BO 4.1SP2. As part of upgrade activity. I am opening the existing production xlf files developed in xcelsius 2008 in BO4.1 SP2 Dashboard tool and publishing it to BO4.1SP2 server only. Even when I am previewing it locally using BO4.1SP2 Dashboards i am seeing the same error message.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately we have not gone to 4.1 yet. The move from 2008 to 4.0 was pretty painless. You may need to get SAP involved with this one.
