Hi all,
I’ve got a problem that when I click on a report link in InfoView, it says it’s processing the document but then just displays a blank page. And this is only happening when I’m connected to the primary node in our 2 node cluster. If I get connected to the secondary node, the reports work fine in InfoView. BO Tech Support suggested re-installing WEBI on the primary node. I did this today but I’m still getting the same problem. Here’s some more info that I sent to BO TS:
"I have a cluster with 2 machines, both running Windows 2003 Server SP1. Enterprise 6.5.1 is installed on both. We are using Apache HTTP server and Apache Tomcat 4.1
The same is happening for reports that use both SQL Server and Oracle databases.
Everything has been running fine until yesterday when I couldn’t get either machine to import an updated version of a universe. I noticed this first through opening the FC report in InfoView as I wasn’t getting all my prompts. I tried opening the FC report in BO on the server but got the same. I looked at the version of the universe and noticed this was out of date.
I therefore tried a manual import of the universe through FC on the server but I got the ‘Unhandled Exception’ error and BO closed. This happened on both servers.
So next I ran the Repair option from Setup in Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Now this is where I think the problem has occurred. After this ran through I lost my cluster and had to reconfigure the ORB on both machines. The cluster is back working, but if InfoView users get connected to the primary node (the one I did the repair on) this is where the problem is. They can log in okay and see all the reports available to them in corp docs, but when they click on a report to view it we just get a blank screen. If the InfoView users get connected to the secondary node then everything is fine and they can view and refresh the reports. (these are all FC reports)
So I suspect when I did the repair some config file has been overwritten somewhere, but I’m fairly new to the Web side of Business Objects and don’t know where to look."
Sorry about the length of this post, but if anybody anywhere could help or give me some pointers it would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks
