BIWS not refreshing after initial load

I have a dashboard running on 4.1. The webi report is scheduled to run every 5 minutes and have dedicated BIWS blocks for each part on the dashboard. On the dashboard for my Data Deffinition I am using GetFromLatestDocumentInstance set to 1 and usage set to Refresh Before Components Are Loaded and Refresh every 5 minutes.Initial loading of the Dashboard does load the latest instance, but it is not refreshing beyond that. Where is the breakdown?

Are you positive that the connection is refreshing? The simplest test is to use the Loading/Idle indicators.

My guess is that the instance is being cached. Exactly where, or how you flush the cache, I don’t know. But the designers probably assumed that the latest instance generally wouldn’t be changing every 5 minutes.
