biometric data

hi, does anyone know about a software that handles biometric data and can be linked to Business Objects in order to handle this data from BO?

You just need software that stores its data in database which BusinessObjects can access. So provided you can find one that uses DB2, Sybase, SQL Server, Oracle etc you should be okay. Security will be an interesting issue with biometric data.

this is obvious but do u have any idea if i could display biometric data in BO (WI reports or performance manager…)
I mean can i create objects in the universe that can be used later in order to display the biometric data (like fingerprints) in the reports?

Here is the problem: How do I create a BusinessObjects object based on a Oracle 8.1 CLOB column? If I set the BusinessObjects object type to either “Character” or “Long Text” I get the error message “expression type not comptiable with object type.” If I use the Oracle DBMS_LOB.SUBTR() method I can get the object to parse Ok if I select “Character” for the object type (I cannot choose Long Text, it gives me the “expression type…” error). The problems is then, on some records, I get an ORA-06502 …
