Need some help on how can I achieve this? Is there any licensing cost with this upgrade? Base on what I have read, this is pretty much a brand new install right? There is no in place upgrade correct?

Hi,
As far as I know, this upgrade can be done (and SAP recommends it) in-place.
Regarding licensing - if you are under a valid contract, no extra cost is associated with the upgrade. You just need to request a new license for the 4.2 version. The old one from 4.0 will not work.
