Best distribution method?

I have 3 clients, each client has there own physical installation. however, I want o be able to work on a local installation and migrate universe, reports, etc…

Due to the CUID process, how can I accomplish this without breaking each clients personal reports to universes.

e.g.

Universes saved as “Planes”, “Boats”,“Cars”, 6 months later , I want to be able to povide a universe update and migrate my locale universes with the updates to each client, but this will break all of their personal reports.

You didn’t mention what version you are using so I’ll assume XI 3.x. Use the Import Wizard to export your universe to a BIAR file which will keep the CUID intact. If the universes located at each of your clients contain different CUIDs than those of your local copy, I would do a 1-time import from your clients to your PC again using the IW. This way you know the CUIDs will match in the future.
