I’m trying to approach Extractors and I have a couple of preliminar questions:

I loooked in available extractors in my customers’ environment and I can see only 1 extractor coming from FI module. Then I tried to look for the ROSATTR table but it seems like it’s not available in the dictionary. Unfortunately I’m not an expert of SAP R/3. I just know my customer is on ECC6.0 but nothing else about the specific release.
Correct. But you will have to activate them before you would use them. We populate our relational DB using couple of extractors.
If an Extractor is not available in ROOSATTR, you will have to add an entry in there. Basically, the list of extractors listed in ROOSATTR are the only extractors that SAP would support for Data Services. In other words, those you make a manual addition to ROOSATTR won’t be supported by them as they aren’t verified and tested by SAP. You can also post to SAP about an extractor (probably with the Test Results) and they will add it to supported extractors if they will feel comfortable I would suppose.
