I’m trying to install it on W2008R2 & SQLExpress 2008.
After installation, you need to remove the dependency to ntlmssp because it is not available since W2008.
The connection to the database was made by an odbc-connection after I manually created a database.
All services came up (after restart) except for the management service.
Now I’m stuck …
If I try to start it, I get event 33015 (BusinessObjects_CMS) : "Could not read key (DatabaseDriver) from registry.
I tried to make the connection again via the central config manager, but it doesn’t work.
Someone ??

First upon all, it is not supported,
however I tried installing it on Windows Server 2008, installation succeed. However after installation, there were very few services in CCM, and none of them were starting except Apache Tomcat.

Yes, I know that is not supported, but I have licenses for W2008, so I’m trying to get it to work.
If you clear the dependency of all the BO-services with ntlmssp (like I discribed), you’ll see that all the services will work except 1 = Central management server.
Then you can go to the startpage via web, but you could not logon …

Windows 2008 is not supported at all and I don’t think you can even get XIR2 to even work on that version of Windows.
If you are moving to a new server, now is probably good time to upgrade to XI 3.1. But not even that supports Win 2008 R2 only original 2008 is supported.
