first, please excuse my English, I fear I don´t know some of the correct technical terms, but I´ll do my best to explain nevertheless :?
I have a massive problem with automated reports. We use several of those to create Excel files with sales reports each morning, which then are used by the staff.
In order to reduce the amount of data, I limited the report to orders in a certain span of time via the information our system saves whenever an order is placed.
Now I have the following problem: First, everything works fine - one week, two weeks, but then, without any warning, the automation fails with the program claiming that the date I use to limit the report being out of the allowed range.
But that´s not true - first, I checked it for mistakes and second, the system creates it automatically, there is no input mistake possible.
What puzzles me most: It is still possible to create the very same report 1:1 manually - it only fails when automated.
After this occured, if I switch the restriction date to another date - let´s say from 20.11.2014 to 19.11.2014 - the cycle begins anew: It works for some time, then ceases.
Is there maybe any registry entry or similar on the server which may cause that? At the last company I worked for, I never experienced this behaviour - and in this one, Business Objects / DeskI is only used for some months and nobody is really experienced with the server part.
Heeeelp
BTW, I forgot to mention (if of any relevance at all):
The format of the date I use is dd.mm.yyyy HH:mm:ss (unconverted, right out of database), but the time is always 00:00:00
Where can I see that? Then I´ll tell IT to look for the information.
Problem is, I do not have Super-User permissions and direct access to the server here. But I am quite sure we had at least one Service Pack installed.
